Happy September!

It’s September 1.  Can I just say “Thank Goodness!”?  August was one crazy-ass month for the Wallace family.  There were unexpected hospitalizations, a failed well, contaminated water, cancelled medical procedures, doggie surgeries, paperwork snafus, and… well, you get the picture.

But all that’s behind me now. Today marks the start of a new month, one that I hope will be exciting and fun. In two days, Tattoo leaves for college and I will once again be an empty nester.  This is always a bit of a transition for me, but this year it has special resonance since he graduates in May.  My baby a college graduate!  When did he grow up?  Seems like only yesterday, we were racing Lego cars down the hallway.

One of the positive things about Tattoo growing up, is that it’s given me more time to focus on my career.     I’ve got some really exciting things in development.  I can’t share them at the moment, but if they pan out, I promise I’ll shout the news everywhere.

Meanwhile, one thing I can share is that Today is Release Day for Beauty and Her Brooding Boss.  Beauty is Book 2 of my In Love with the Boss series.  If you read A Millionaire for Cinderella (and if you haven’t, why not?), you’ll remember Patience’s sister, Piper.  This is her story.  It was inspired by my 25th anniversary trip to Paris and the Cotswolds.  I’ll be posting excerpts and quotes all week long to mark the release.

I also promised a free read to my newsletter subscribers.  It is coming!  Rather than clog up inboxes while people are enjoying the last days of summer and getting kids ready for school, I decided to hold my newsletter on after Labor Day.  Remember, this free read is for newsletter subscribers only.  It won’t be posted to the website for at least six weeks.  So if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, do so now.  (You can sign up via the comment section.)

Have a terrific day and thank you, as always for reading.  And, if you haven’t picked up a Harlequin Romance in a while, why not try one?  They’re great for a sweet, quick, emotionally satisfying read.

Talk to you soon!

Paris might be the city of love, but it makes trainee chef Piper Rush feel lonely! It’s only the tentative bond she forges with her boss, brooding billionaire Frederic Lafontaine, that gives her the sense of belonging she’s always craved…

Gradually losing his sight, Frederic keeps everyone at arm’s length. But as Piper brings laughter and light back into his heart, she also opens his eyes to what life could be like…together. Can Piper convince Frederic that she is the missing ingredient to his happily-ever-after?
